"A relaxed pace to enjoy each stop."
Explore Southern and Western Mauritius
Spend a full day exploring the south and west with our private transfer service for eight hours. The route brings together volcanic history, religious sites, natural parks and geological formations. There is time to enjoy each stop, with a lunch break at a restaurant serving local Creole dishes and international options.
Entrance tickets and lunch cost extra. Tickets for Chamarel and the rum distillery are paid separately.
- Floréal ship model workshop: See skilled craftspeople making detailed miniature models of historic ships.
- Trou aux Cerfs: Visit a dormant volcanic crater with views across Curepipe and the central plateau.
- Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao): A sacred Hindu crater lake, traditionally associated with the River Ganges in India. The site has temples and large statues, including a 33-metre statue of Shiva.
- Alexandra Falls: See the waterfall and surrounding forest from the viewpoint.
- Black River Gorges National Park: A protected forest covering more than 6,700 hectares. Stops at viewpoints offer views of forested mountains, valleys and waterfalls.
- Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth: Discover dunes in shades of red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow.
- Chamarel Waterfall: A waterfall dropping approximately 100 metres into the landscape below.
- Rhumerie de Chamarel: Visit the rum distillery in the fertile Chamarel valley.
